There is a mad woman in the attic - Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

 Jane Eyre

By Charlotte Bronte

⭐⭐⭐

There is a madwoman in the attic - which just about sums up this novel. What is it with the Bronte sisters that their books are so dark?

I did enjoy Jane Eyre much more than I did Wuthering Heights, but I still found the story rather disturbing. I don't think I am going to risk reading another book by the Bronte sisters.

I picked up my copy at Waterstones.
