Movie Review - Five Feet Apart

Five Feet Apart

By Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had planned this to be another book v movie post, but to be absolutely honest, I bought the book after watching the movie, and I have not felt at all inclined to read the book, simply because the film was absolutely brilliant. So this is going to be a movie review instead.

The story is heartbreaking, and the characters were masterfully portrayed. Stella Grant has cystic fibrosis, and she is in hospital. Here she meets William "Will" Newman, who also has cystic fibrosis, and they end up falling in love, but they have to stay six feet apart at all times, but Stella, decides to take back one foot, and thus the title is Five Feet Apart.

I have never cried so much in a movie in my life. 😭😭😭

Haley Lu Richardson and Cole Sprouse had such great chemistry - I cannot imagine the roles of Stella and Will being played by anyone else.

I think during this pandemic, this film really highlighted how vulnerable some people are, and although there are many that say that Covid only kills those with underlying health conditions, it does not mean that their lives are not worth protecting. I really believe that everyone should watch this movie.
