So, we are in a dystopian world where there is one big city, and that city is divided into factions: Abnegation, Erudite, Amity, Candor and
Dauntless. 

 

Beatrice comes from Abnegation, but their is a wildness to her soul and she longs for adventure and excitement. On an appointed day, all sixteen year olds must take part in a choosing ceremony - they are helped to make the choice by aptitude tests - but something goes wrong with Beatrice's test because she belongs to all of them! Beatrice has to choose between her family and what she really wants. So she chooses Dauntless - a decision she may well come to regret.

 

 Okay, one word FOUR! 💖 How I adored him. This book is absolutely amazing, I mean it is really amazing amazing. I could not put this novel down, in fact I spent the whole day reading it. It is filled with action packed adventure, characters that you will love and hate, and it is just so bloody brilliant that I can't even begin to describe how good this book is. You have to read it.

 Okay, I admit it. I am late to the show on this one. The supernatural and the whole vampire falls in love with a human idea isn't my thing. But, at a sleepover, by facetime my firends decided Twilight was the film we were going to watch, and I was forced to endure it, much like Edward had to endure Biology with Bella. 😱 And as I endured it, I actually found myself quite liking it, but that might have had something to do with Robert Pattinson. 😍 Anyway, much to my horror, I spent the weekend after binge-watching Twilight. And then I thought, well, I suppose it would be rude not to read the books. 

 

I can't believe I am even saying it because it goes against everything I believe in, but the films were better than the books. 😱 The only thing I thought they should have kept in was when Edward said to Bella:

“When I told you I didn't want you it was the blackest kind of blasphemy”

 

I love that quote so much! And I loved the behind the scenes of how they got out of the building where the volturi live, and how they got home. But apart from those two scenes, the films were much more entertaing. Still, if asked, not that I will be. I can at least say I am Team Edward - I mean, come on, he sparkles. 

 

I watched the movies on Netflix, but I bought the books at Waterstones. 

 

 

 

 

I am seriously past caring as to who killed Jughead!

 

 

 

 

 

Can you have too much of a good thing? I must admit, when Riverdale first came out, I was glued to the screen. I could not get enough of Archie, Jughead and Cheryl - not so keen on Betty, but there would be something wrong if you liked every single character in a series - right?

Anyway, what I loved about Riverdale was how random it was. One moment it was all serious, and there was some terrible killer on the loose, and the next episode played out like a musical, where everybody sang. You never knew quite what you were going to happen next. Alas, series four just...it just had lost that spark. It no longer interested me. I no longer grew excited about the next episode, and then I decided enough was enough and me and Riverdale parted ways. I am sure Jughead is still alive, but I don't think I can stomach one more episode. 

So, my take on Riverdale was it started out good and then lost its momentum and therefore lost my interest.

 This is such a carefully crafted book. Liesel and her brother are meant to be going to live with another family, but tradgey strikes before they gets there. Liesel arrives at her new home and while her foster father is lovely, her foster mother is not. The father makes her a classroom in the basement and she falls in love with reading. But when the Nazis start buring books Liesel starts stealing them. And when a Jewish friend needs a safe place, the foster family risk everything to hide him a great personal risk to thereselves.

This historical backdrop of this story was alive with realism, and the author cleverly explores how a population can be seduced by speaches and false promises.

This is a harrowing story and it is one that will stay with me for a very long time.

Jackie's way of life is turned upside down. Especially, considering some of the older guys are really cute! 😀 And suddenly she finds herself in a middle of a war while two of the brothers fight for her attention!! 

 

Firstly, I really want to live in the Walter's house because they have a really nice house, with land and horses and stuff. I loved Cole, but Alex was really nice too! 😂 This book is really good and I loved every single minute of it.

So, she tries hard at school, she is saving colllage and she volunteers at a charity masquerade ball. At the ball she meets a boy - but she has no idea who he is because he is wearing a mask! When he removes the mask he turns out to be Alec from The Heartbreakers Band 💖 A band that her bestfriend loves!! 

 

She discovers that her sister had been writing to her but her mother has been hiding the letters from her. Her sister has moved around alot. So Felicity and Alec go on a road trip to see if they can find her.

 

Out of the two books in the series so far, this was my favourite. Alec and Felicity's relationship is really cute, as Alec is really shy. I wouldn't mind Alec to be my boyfriend!! Why do all the great guys have to be ficitonal??!! 💔 But seriously, this is a great book, and you should read it because i know you will love it as much as I do.
